Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective date: August 24, 2026 (draft date; will be updated to the actual launch date at go-live)  ·  Last updated: August 24, 2026

We would rather lose a sale than crowd your child's pillow with something they do not love. That is why the whole first week is free, cancelling is self-serve, and there is nothing to phone in or negotiate. This page explains how the trial works, how billing works, how to cancel, and where we land on refunds.

1The free trial

New subscribers get a 7-night free trial. You add a payment method when you start, but you are not charged during the trial. You get the full experience, one short story emailed each night, audio included where your plan offers it. We email you before the trial ends so you are never surprised. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged at all. If you do nothing, the trial rolls into a paid subscription on the plan you chose.

2How billing works

  • Seedling: $12 per month, or $120 per year paid up front.
  • Full Bloom: $29 per month, or $290 per year paid up front.

Our monthly plans bill every 4 weeks. That is a 28-day cycle. Because a year holds a little more than twelve 28-day cycles, a monthly plan is charged 13 times a year, not 12. So a year of the Seedling monthly plan comes to about $156, and a year of Full Bloom monthly comes to about $377. We say this plainly on the pricing page and here. If you would rather pay once a year, the annual plan bills a single time per year and works out to about two months free.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Payments run through Stripe.

3How to cancel

Cancelling is self-serve. You do not need to email us or wait for anyone.

1

Sign in and open your account page.

2

Tap Manage billing to open the secure billing portal.

3

Choose cancel. That is it. You will get a confirmation.

You can also cancel by emailing hello@seedandslumber.com if you would rather we handle it for you.

4What happens when you cancel

When you cancel, your subscription simply does not renew again. You keep access to the stories and your Parent Library through the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and then it stops. Cancelling during the free trial ends the trial with no charge. We do not lock you in, and there is no cancellation fee.

5Our refund stance

Our policy: Cancel any time. Because the 7-night free trial lets you experience the full service before you pay a cent, we do not offer refunds for a billing period that has already started. This applies to annual plans too: there is no partial-year or pro-rated refund on an annual plan. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you paid for, and you are not charged again.

That said, we are a small family business and we care more about doing right by families than about a single charge. If something went wrong, you were charged by mistake, or a bedtime went sideways because of us, email hello@seedandslumber.com and we will make it right. We will always honor the refund and cancellation rights that the consumer-protection laws where you live give you, and the app-store or payment-provider rules for any purchase made through them.

6A note on annual plans

Annual plans are paid up front for a full year. An annual plan can be cancelled any time to stop the next year's renewal, and access continues to the end of the year you paid for. We do not offer partial-year or pro-rated refunds on annual plans. If you are unsure before you buy, email us and ask.

7Questions

We are happy to help with anything about billing, cancelling, or a charge you did not expect. Email hello@seedandslumber.com and a real person will get back to you. This policy works together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

A note on this draft. This document is a good-faith starting point, not legal advice. The owner should have a qualified attorney review and finalize this page, and set the effective date to the launch date, before Seed & Slumber relies on it with real customers.
